Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynohradiv performed the rite of consecration of the altar in the church of a men’s monastery at Horodylovo in Zakarpattia on 10 September 2026, the day on which St Job of Pochaiv is commemorated. The house is the St. Panteleimon’s Monastery of the Khust eparchy. The event was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC, citing the eparchial press service.
After the rite the ruling bishop of the Khust eparchy led the Divine Liturgy. According to the same report, special petitions were offered at the service for peace in the Ukrainian land and for its defenders, for deliverance from the enemy, for those in despair and those who have lost their homes, and for all people of good will who help those in need.
In his word after the dismissal Metropolitan Mark congratulated the brethren of the monastery on the consecration of the church and told the faithful about the life and spiritual labour of St Job, calling on them to follow his faith, humility, patience and love of God.
