St. Vladimir the-Equal-to-the-Apostles' Monastery

The men's monastery in honour of the holy Prince Vladimir, Equal to the Apostles, stands in the village of Sukhyy, in the Velykyi Bereznyi district of the Zakarpattia region. The house was established by the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on 1 April 2015, by journal No. 7, on the report of Archbishop Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod; by the same journal the Synod approved the Statute of the newly founded monastery and confirmed Archimandrite Paisiy (Ponomarov) as its superior1, 2.
On 25 October 2015, the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, Archbishop Feodor performed the full rite of consecration of the church's altar table at the monastery; during the same service he ordained deacon Serafym Hychka to the priesthood3.
On 25 December 2021 a fire destroyed the monastery's residential building4.
