History:
The skete of the Protection of the Mother of God stands in the Kryvets tract1 and belongs to the monastery of St George of the Khust eparchy2.
The head of the skete was Archimandrite Artemii (Patskan). He reposed on 12 November 20242.
Year by year the skete keeps the leave-taking of Theophany and the day of the Synaxis of John the Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord: hierarchical liturgies on 20 January are recorded here for 20193, 20234 and 20245.
On 9 November 2025, the twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost, a Divine Liturgy was served at the skete, at which a deacon was ordained and prayer was offered for the repose of Archimandrite Artemii1.
