St. Lazarus of Murom's Monastery

St. Lazarus of Murom's Monastery, a men's monastery, arose in the village of Skalyste (Bakla), Bakhchysarai district, in Crimea, near the ancient cave settlement of Bakla3, 4.
In June 2012 residential trailers were installed at the community and a refectory was arranged, marking the start of its revival2, 4, 5.
In the summer of 2013 a wooden church was built there in honour of St. Lazarus of Murom (d. 1391) - the heavenly patron of the then-ruling bishop of the Simferopol Diocese, Metropolitan Lazar (Shvets)2, 4.
On 25 September 2013 the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, having considered the report of Metropolitan Lazar, blessed the opening of St. Lazarus of Murom's men's monastery of the Simferopol Diocese and the registration of its statute, by Journal No. 59 of its session1.
