    History:

    The settlement of Partenit lies in the Alushta district of Crimea, within the Simferopol Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

    The Annunciation male metochion arose in Partenit as a monastic dependency of Sts. Cosma and Damian's Monastery (Alushta Town, Crimea): because that monastery was remote from populated places, a small metochion was set up here at an old private house1. This happened with the start of the revival of Sts. Cosma and Damian's Monastery, which its own website dates to 19941, 2.

    In 1996 a plot of land was allocated for the metochion on the grounds of a disbanded military unit1. From 2006 construction began on this plot1.
