History:
The stauropegial male metochion of St. John the Russian stands in the town of Novohrad-Volynskyi in the Zhytomyr region1. This metochion belongs to the Horodnytsya St. George's stauropegial Monastery for Men, in the settlement of Horodnytsya in the same region1, 2.
On 1 April 2015 the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church blessed the founding of this metochion and the acceptance and registration of its charter; the decision is recorded in Journal No. 7 of the Synod's session2.
