Holy Trinity Convent

The Holy Trinity Convent stands in the village of Bukovtsevo in Zakarpattia, in the Velykyi Bereznyi district, and belongs to the Mukachevo eparchy¹. Its opening was blessed by the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church at its session of 10 April 2024, by Journal No. 4 - the same session at which a monastery for men in honour of the "She Who is Quick to Hear" icon of the Mother of God was established in the village of Babai in the Kharkiv Diocese^{1, 2}.

Church life at the convent had gone on since at least 2020: on 31 August that year Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod led the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity monastery⁴. After the Liturgy the archpastor consecrated a new chapel in honour of the icon of the Mother of God "The Inexhaustible Cup" together with a memorial cross - four years before the Synod's formal decision to open the monastery⁴.

On 10 May 2026, the fifth Sunday after Pascha, Metropolitan Feodor again visited the monastery on an archpastoral visit and led the Divine Liturgy there; he was concelebrated by Bishop Ilarii of Svaliava together with the clergy of the eparchy³. During the service the ruling bishop ordained Deacon Oleksii Hroshem to the priesthood, and at its close he congratulated the sisters of the community and all present on the Lord's Day³.
