Church of the Meeting of the Lord (Vinnytsia)

The Meeting of the Lord, 15 February, is the chief feast of this Vinnytsia parish; the second it keeps on 24 May, the day of the holy equals-to-the-apostles Cyril and Methodius, teachers of the Slavs¹. The church stands on Pyrohova Street and belongs to the Vinnytsia eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church - the eparchy keeps a separate page for this church in its list of parishes¹.

The community is building its church and does not hide it: the section about the building stands first in the menu of its site, and beside it a call for help². There too are the schedule of services, a page about the church choir, a sound library, the church year, a small dictionary of church words, and a heading of questions to the priest². There are three Sunday schools in the parish, and each has a page of its own: one for children, one for young people and one for adults².

The church broadcasts its services on a channel of its own, opened on 27 December 2012³. The broadcasts here are daily - two or three a day and evenly across all the days of the week, a morning service and a late afternoon one³. They run as long as the service itself runs: an average broadcast is about two hours, the longest more than seven³. The channel labels its recordings alike and sparely: the name of the church, the city and the date of the service, with no other text at all³. Over the years more than three thousand recordings have gathered on it, and almost every one of them is a separate service that was actually served³.
